In the 2026-2027 season MV Deep Andaman Queen runs two Myanmar (Burma) routes: 10 days / 9 nights with the Similans, Koh Bon, Koh Tachai, Surin and Richelieu Rock on the way, and 7 days / 6 nights from Ranong. In Myanmar you dive the Mergui Archipelago: Black Rock, Shark Cave, North and South Twin, the Burma Banks and Western Rocky.
The boat takes 23 guests in 10 air-conditioned cabins, each with its own shower and toilet. For Similan-only trips on the same boat see Deep Andaman Queen to the Similans.
About the boat
MV Deep Andaman Queen was built in 2008 and fully renovated in 2019: 30.5 meters long, 7 meters wide, no more than 23 guests. Sun deck with loungers and sofas, saloon with a big TV, a two-level dive deck with 2 exit ladders, freshwater showers and camera rinse tanks. A Nitrox membrane system on board (Nitrox is paid separately).
Three meals a day, with fruit, snacks and drinks between dives. Thai and Western food, vegetarian meals and meals for guests with allergies on request.
Cabins
All cabins have air conditioning, a private shower and toilet, towels, a hair dryer, life jackets, reading lights, hanging space and charging sockets.
- Master Ocean Front, cabins 10 and 11 at the front of the main deck: the largest cabins on board, with a king-size bed, TV, minibar, desk and sea-view windows.
- Double Ocean Front, cabins 7, 8 and 9 on the main deck: a queen-size bed and sea-view windows.
- Twin Ocean Front, cabins 5 and 6 on the main deck: bunk beds for two, sea-view windows and plenty of storage space.
- Andaman Twin B, cabin 4 on the lower deck: bunk beds for two.
- Andaman Triple, cabin 2 on the lower deck: three beds.
- Andaman Quad, cabin 1 on the lower deck: four beds.
In the Andaman Quad and Andaman Triple you can book a single berth, and the cabin may be shared with guests of any gender. If you book a single berth in a twin cabin, you will share with a guest of the same gender.
Myanmar routes
10 days / 9 nights, 28 dives: Thap Lamu, Similan Islands, Myanmar, Ranong
Day 1. Transfer from Phuket or your hotel in Khao Lak to Thap Lamu Pier, boarding at around 19:00, dinner and briefing. Overnight crossing to the Similan Islands.
Day 2. 4 dives at Koh Bon and Koh Tachai.
Day 3. 4 dives at the Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock, overnight crossing to Ranong.
Day 4. Thai exit formalities, crossing to Kawthaung, Myanmar immigration and an overnight passage to the Mergui Archipelago (8 to 10 hours).
Day 5. 4 dives: Shark Cave, Submarine, Square Rock and an island visit.
Day 6. 4 dives at Black Rock.
Day 7. 4 dives at North Twin and South Twin.
Day 8. 3 or 4 dives at the Burma Banks.
Day 9. 4 dives: Sea Fan Forest and Western Rocky.
Day 10. A dive at Northern Rocky, snorkeling at Cockscomb Island and a beach visit on Horseshoe Island. Back to Kawthaung, Myanmar exit, arrival in Ranong and Thai immigration, transfer to hotels in Ranong at around 17:00.
7 days / 6 nights, 19 dives: Ranong, Myanmar, Ranong
Day 1. Pick-up at around 10:00 at Ranong Airport or your hotel in Ranong, Thai exit formalities, boarding, crossing to Kawthaung, Myanmar immigration and an overnight passage to the islands.
Days 2 to 6. 3 to 4 dives a day: Shark Cave, Black Rock, North and South Twin, the Burma Banks, Sea Fan Forest and Western Rocky.
Day 7. A dive at Northern Rocky, snorkeling and an island visit, return to Ranong via Kawthaung, transfer to hotels in Ranong at around 17:00.

Documents for Myanmar
- You need a Myanmar e-visa or an embassy visa with Kawthaung as the port of entry. The e-visa is issued on the official website evisa.moip.gov.mm and costs 50 USD, paid by card.
- For the visa we send you a tour confirmation and itinerary, so we need a copy of your passport. The visa application asks for your return flight from Phuket Airport.
- Please send the forms and copies of passports and diving certifications 40 days before the trip. Later bookings are possible, but the visa must be approved at least 3 days before departure.
- During the trip passports stay with the Myanmar authorities and are returned in Kawthaung with entry and exit stamps. Back in Ranong everyone goes through Thai immigration.
Transfers and boarding
- 10 days / 9 nights: pick-up at Phuket Airport at 17:00 at Exit 3 of the domestic terminal (international flights should land before 15:15, domestic before 16:00), at meeting points in Phuket between 15:00 and 17:00 or from your hotel in Khao Lak at around 18:30. Boarding at Thap Lamu at around 19:00, we confirm the exact time when you book.
- 7 days / 6 nights: pick-up at around 10:00 at Ranong Airport or your hotel in Ranong.
- Both trips end in Ranong with a transfer to hotels in Ranong at around 17:00. There is no free transfer to Phuket or Khao Lak: a taxi to Phuket Airport takes about 5 hours, we can book one at an extra cost.
Good to know
- Open Water divers need to upgrade to Advanced Open Water on board or pay for a private guide for the whole trip. Junior divers need a private guide.
- If you have fewer than 20 dives and have not dived for 6 months or more, you need a refresher dive before the trip.
- To take a camera underwater, you need Advanced Open Water or equivalent and at least 40 logged dives.
- Please send a photo of your diving certification when you book.
- Only reef-safe sunscreen is allowed.
- PADI courses on board: Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Deep Diver, Adventure Diver and Digital Underwater Photographer. Courses are paid in advance, when you book.
- Children under 10 can join only by prior arrangement.
Booking and payment
Full payment is required to confirm your booking.
Cancellation and changes
- Cancellation 60 days or more before departure: 50% of the trip price is retained.
- Cancellation less than 60 days before departure: no refund.
- If a trip is cancelled or cut short because of the weather or warnings from the authorities, we refund the unused days.
- If the boat operator cancels the trip, everything you have paid is refunded.
- If the guests cannot travel because of force majeure (natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics), the trip can be moved to other available dates within 24 months free of charge. If the guests cancel the trip instead of moving it, we refund the trip price minus 30%.
- Cancellations must be made in writing.
