Dolphin Queen: Similan and Surin liveaboard, from 4 days / 3 nights

Routes

4 days / 3 nights, 10 dives. Departure evening: the boat leaves Thap Lamu at around 20:00. Day 1: Similan Islands with a night dive. Day 2: Koh Bon and Koh Tachai with a dusk dive. Day 3: Richelieu Rock, back at the pier at around 16:00.

6 days / 5 nights, 18 dives. Departure evening: the boat leaves Thap Lamu at around 20:00. Day 1: Similan Islands with a night dive. Day 2: Similan Islands and Koh Bon with a dusk dive. Day 3: Koh Bon and Koh Tachai with a night dive. Day 4: Surin Islands and Richelieu Rock with a dusk dive. Day 5: Richelieu Rock and the Boonsung Wreck, back at the pier at around 16:00.

Usually 4 dives a day and 2 on the last day. This is a sample itinerary: dive sites are chosen according to the weather and currents.

Cabins

• Double cabins on the upper deck, 2: a double bed and a door that opens straight onto the deck with a sea view. You can switch off the air conditioning and sleep with the sea breeze.
• Double cabins on the main deck, 2: a double bed.
• Twin cabins on the main deck, 2: two berths, each with its own curtain.
• Four-berth cabins on the main deck, 2: bunk beds, each berth with its own curtain.

Every cabin has its own air conditioner, a window that opens and 220 V sockets. Showers and toilets are shared: 3 on the main deck and 2 more showers on the dive deck.

On board

A light breakfast of coffee, bread, fruit and cereal is served before the first dive, followed by a cooked-to-order breakfast. Lunch and dinner feature Thai dishes. Vegetarian and vegan meals are available on request. The dining area at the stern has open sides, and the sun deck on top has hammocks and shade. An onboard photographer takes pictures that you can buy after the trip.

Prices for the 2026-2027 season

Price per person for the whole trip, in Thai baht, 7% VAT included. Double cabins are for couples or friends. National park fees and BCD, regulator and dive computer rental are charged separately; Nitrox is also charged separately. See the amounts below.

6 days / 5 nights, 18 dives

Children pay the same price as adults. Single occupancy is only possible in Double cabins, at 80% above the berth price: 45 900 THB for 4 days / 3 nights and 56 700 THB for 6 days / 5 nights on the upper deck, 44 100 THB and 54 900 THB on the main deck.

Included

• Similan and Surin national park fees, paid in cash in Thai baht: 1 600 THB for the 4-day / 3-night trip, 2 000 THB for the 6-day / 5-night trip, 1 000 THB per non-diver

Nitrox is for divers with a Nitrox certification.

Transfers

Return transfers from hotels in Khao Lak and the Bang Niang area are included. On the departure day guests come to the dive center in Khao Lak between 10:00 and 16:30 for check-in and equipment fitting. The transfer to Thap Lamu Pier leaves at around 19:00, and the boat departs at around 20:00. On the last day the boat is back at Thap Lamu at around 16:00, with guests at the dive center between 16:00 and 17:00. A taxi from Phuket to the dive center in Khao Lak can be arranged. The price is per vehicle, one way. From Phuket Airport it is 1 500 THB per car for 2 guests, plus 100 THB for each additional guest.

Diver requirements

• your certification card and logbook are checked before departure. Divers who cannot prove their certification are not allowed to dive
• if you have not dived for 12 months or more, you can take a refresher session with an instructor, arriving at the dive center by 14:00
• tell us in advance about asthma, epilepsy, high blood pressure, any other serious illness or medication
• do not fly within 24 hours after your last dive

Schedule for the 2026-2027 season

Evening departure from Thap Lamu (Khao Lak), back on the last day at around 16:00.
